Who is Kira Kimmelmann?
Kira Kimmelmann, born Rita Anna Küffner in picturesque Switzerland, is initially known to many from the world of high-end fashion. Her creative contributions to renowned fashion labels have earned her international recognition over the years. But behind the elegant façade of a successful fashion expert lies a deep-rooted love of a completely different art form - storytelling.
Even as a child, Rita was fascinated by fantastic stories, old fairy tales and mysterious adventures told to her by her grandmother Regina Kimmelmann with a lot of heart and warmth. These magical moments awakened in her the desire to invent stories herself - stories that make children's eyes light up and touch their hearts.
One little girl from her family in particular, who listened to her stories with wide, curious eyes, became a loyal listener and also her main inspiration. Her enthusiasm and genuine enjoyment of the stories encouraged Rita to write them down.
In honour of her beloved grandmother Regina, Rita decided to write under the pseudonym Kira Kimmelmann - a name that for her is not only a tribute, but also a symbol of the intergenerational power of stories.
Today, Rita lives in Germany and is passionate about children's literature. Her stories are loving, educational and imaginative - always with the aim of not only entertaining young readers, but also teaching them important values such as friendship, courage and environmental awareness in a playful way.
Kira Kimmelmann stands for creative storytelling that connects generations and gives children a safe space for dreams, questions and discoveries.
Today she presents herself as an author under the pseudonym
KIRA KIMMELMANN before:
Whenever I told different stories to my family, the children's favourite characters quickly emerged. They are John Periwinkle and his daughter Rosa and the adventures they experience together. This nature-loving fantasy story was created with this background.
These stories, which have shaped an entire generation in my family, are not only exciting and mystical, but also carry a lasting message about how to treat the earth. It is also about the emancipation of young people who learn to respect each other as a team and find solutions to challenges together. This message is very close to my heart and this book is my contribution to motivating society to find better solutions with team spirit, tolerance and harmony.
