A story from the Neflental: politeness rocks!<\/h2>\n

\nThe Neflental valley was at the height of the season. The sun coloured everything in golden and amber hues. The crystal lake glistened like a mirror. Lanterns blew softly in the wind on the shores of Water Lily Bay. Colourful groups sat around the campfire and laughed happily together. Children balanced on the round leaves of the water lilies while dragonflies hovered over the water.\n<\/p>\n

\nIn the midst of the hustle and bustle, Rosa Periwinkle moved cautiously through the crowd. She really wanted to be part of the big summer festival. Everyone from the Neflental came to Water Lily Bay. Even the Flossians swam over from their stilt houses to join in the excitement and cheerful celebrations. The air smelled of grilled sweet root bread and warm glittering poppies.\n<\/p>\n

\nRosa Periwinkle heard a humming beside her. Two periwinkle children were arguing. \"You took the prettiest little stone!\" shouted one of them, stomping angrily on a lily pad. \"No, it was just in front of me!\" the other shouted back.\n<\/p>\n

\nRosa Periwinkle walked slowly to the two of them. She smiled kindly and said: \"Shall we look for more beautiful stones together? That way you can both have some.\" The children looked at each other, smiled - and nodded. They immediately jumped off to collect on the shore and laughed.\n<\/p>\n

Why politeness is so cool<\/h3>\n

\nRosa Periwinkle passed a group of Flossians. They asked her for some space by the fire. She immediately made room for them in a friendly manner and smiled, \"Come on, sit down! There's enough warmth for everyone.\" The Flossians gratefully said \"Thank you, how kind of you!\" and told funny stories about the lake. Soon everyone was laughing together.\n<\/p>\n

\nA shy Buchian stood to one side. Nobody spoke to him. Rosa Periwinkle waved in a friendly manner and asked: \"Would you like to join us by the fire?\" After a brief hesitation, the Buchian dared to do so. He became part of the colourful group and felt at ease.\n<\/p>\n

Courtesy makes the party extra special<\/h2>\n

\nEven when a piece of W\u00fcrzelbrot fell into the water, Rosa Immergr\u00fcn didn't call out angrily. Instead, she said: \"Maybe a hungry fish will be happy underneath.\" And just at that moment, a golden fish snapped shut and glittered in the light - everyone laughed because the fish were also celebrating today.\n<\/p>\n

\nAs the evening grew darker and darker, people lit colourful lanterns. They let them rise into the sky. Rosa Periwinkle thanked the friendly Flossians for sharing and the Periwinkle children for passing the hats. Everyone said goodbye to each other politely and warmly.\n<\/p>\n

What do we learn from this?<\/h3>\n

\nPoliteness rocks! It brings everyone together. Being friendly and nice makes you cool and easier to make friends. Because Rosa Periwinkle was polite, everyone in the Neflental had a wonderful glamour party at the Bay of Water Lilies. Everyone went home happy and with a smile. Maybe you'd like to give it a try?
