Adventure at Crystal Lake: The self-discipline adventure begins
In Neflental, on the edge of the glittering crystal lake, the great self-discipline adventure was just beginning. It was the time of the twilight run, when the sky was bathed in purple and pink and the dense fog enveloped the landscape. The mirrors hovering above the lake showed different seasons: Spring flowers bloomed here, snow lay there. Reality and dream were almost indistinguishable.
Rosa Periwinkle stood with the Flossians on the jetty, where their elaborate pile dwellings floated on the water. The water gnomes laughed and called out to each other, for today was the day for everyone to prove their own courage. But first Rosa had to show her self-discipline, because the path through the twilight world was full of secrets and challenges.
Through the twilight run: The world of floating mirrors
In the beginning, everything was as usual. But suddenly the trees around Rosa changed, they bent and grew in strange shapes. Their shadows grew longer and shorter at the same time. A soft wind brought silvery vapours from the lake. Rosa knew that she could not allow herself to be distracted by the twilight world if she wanted to reach her destination.
She saw floating mirrors in which she could observe summer and winter at the same time. The Flossians waved from the water and gave her courage. Rosa took a deep breath and concentrated on every single step. Shadowy figures kept appearing in the mist, carrying small, glowing balls of light in front of them. The creatures were friendly, but if they came too close to Rosa, her own dreams flickered briefly in the mirrors. So she knew she couldn't allow herself to be distracted.
Chaos in the twilight zone: self-discipline is the key
Sometimes Rosa heard voices calling her and pointing her in confusing directions. The twilight world tried to test her will. Here, any doubts quickly doubled in size. Rosa Periwinkle remembered the words of the Flossians: "You are brave when you conquer chaos!"
She concentrated hard. Instead of running, she walked slowly and attentively. She listened to her heartbeat, and while the other beings in the mist let their dreams shine brighter and brighter, Rosa kept her thoughts clear. The purple haze swirled, but Rosa remained calm. She knew that her self-discipline would help her to keep her eyes on the goal, even if the world around her was mad and tempting.
The path to the shining goal
With every step, the haze became weaker. The voices disappeared and the mirrors began to flash. Suddenly, the chaotic landscape had disappeared and Rosa was back on the shore of the crystal lake. The Flossians cheered. Lights shone in the pile dwellings. The world was clear and friendly again. Rosa had conquered the twilight world because she had remained strong.
In gratitude for her courage and self-discipline, the Flossians planted colourful flowers on the banks of the crystal lake. Now Rosa knew that she could always defeat chaos if she trusted in herself. She recounted her experiences by the fire as the silver mist drifted over the water and night fell. They laughed together - and they all knew that an adventure becomes easier if you listen to your heart and stay brave.
