Stories from the Neflental: Authenticity makes you brave and unique
In Neflental, the world changes in autumn. The colours on the maple glade glow in red and orange, as if the whole meadow is burning like a fire. This is where our story begins. Rosa Immergrün wakes up with the first ray of sunshine and hears the gentle rustling of the colourful leaves. She loves this place because the maple trees give her courage. The courage to be herself.
A special day with Rosa Immergrün
Today is a special day in Neflental. Rosa Immergrün is to sing a song at the big autumn festival at the Zeitenspiegelgellichtung. But there is one small problem that worries her. Rosa Periwinkle thinks her voice sounds different from the voices of the others. Some Flossians sing crystal clear, the Buchians have deep, warm voices, and even the Bergsteins sound as powerful as a rock wind.
As she walks across the maple glade, the colourful leaves rustle under her feet. The golden sunlight dances on the damp dewdrops. Her heart beats wildly. Should Rosa Periwinkle really sing in front of everyone? She is afraid that the others will laugh at her because she doesn't sound like the others.
Why courage comes from authenticity in Neflental
Rosa Periwinkle meets lots of friends at the Time Mirror Glade. Hundreds of mirrors hover above their heads. Each one shows a different season: emerald green summer meadows, golden autumn colours, vermilion winter sun and blue-grey spring rain flicker on the shiny surfaces. Each mirror is different and all are beautiful.
Rosa Periwinkle suddenly realises something important. Why do voices have to be the same when mirrors, leaves and even seasons in Neflental look different? She plucks up her courage because she realises that who she really is is unique and can bring something very special into the world.
How authenticity becomes a source of courage
All the inhabitants of Neflental gather between the mirrors. The white elves float gently through the autumn air. The Buchians snuggle up in the red moss. The colours of the maple are reflected in the glistening lake.
Rosa Periwinkle stands in front of the large, colourful group. She thinks of the courage of the trees in the maple glade. No maple tree is covered or hides its glow. So Rosa Periwinkle sings her song - as she feels it and as only she can sing it. Her melody sounds different. But it sounds honest, warm and as real as the autumn wind over the glowing red leaves.
Be unique as a gift for the Neflental
It is quiet after the song. Then the first Flossians begin to smile. The elves flutter louder. The Bergsteins nod in admiration. And the Buchians clap enthusiastically. No one laughs. Everyone realises how special the song was because it was sung bravely and honestly.
At Zeitenspiegelgellichtung, everyone recognises why authenticity shows a lot of courage. Only those who show themselves as they are give the world something unique. Since then, everyone in the Neflental has remembered: colourful diversity makes life exciting and magical.
What do we learn from this?
In Neflental, everyone learns that those who are courageous and remain true to themselves are a real gift to the community. Authenticity makes you strong. It makes you unique and courageous. Dare to be who you are - just like Rosa Periwinkle in the time mirror between emerald green, gold and vermilion colours. Every little courage can grow and make the world a brighter place.
