Ayurvedic healing: a holistic approach for managers
Ayurveda is more than just an ancient healing method. It offers executives a holistic approach to harmonising body, mind and soul. Many clients come to me with issues such as stress, lack of energy and sleep problems. The art of Ayurvedic healing helps them to develop personalised rituals and strategies that have a lasting effect in everyday life.
The art of Ayurveda healing is based on the realisation that health is more than the absence of illness. It promotes a life in balance and supports people in strengthening their own resources. The principles of Ayurvedic medicine are easy to understand and can be flexibly integrated into everyday working life.
The basics of Ayurveda healing
Ayurvedic medicine works with the three doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Each person has an individual dosha constitution that influences their physical and mental characteristics. Ayurvedic medicine helps you to recognise your own Dosha and balance it in a targeted manner.
Vata stands for movement and is responsible for breathing, blood flow and the transport of nerve impulses. Pitta represents fire and is responsible for digestion, metabolism and the regulation of body temperature. Kapha stands for stability and structure, supports immunity, moisture and the firmness of the body.
The Ayurvedic art of healing views people as a unity of body, mind and soul. It promotes a life in balance and supports people in strengthening their own resources.
Ayurveda healing art in a professional context
More and more managers are using the Ayurvedic art of healing to harmonise work and health. Typical issues include stress management, sleep problems, lack of energy and the feeling of being stuck in a hamster wheel. Ayurveda offers specific tools to strengthen your own resilience and master crises with confidence.
A practical example: a sales manager complained of constant exhaustion and sleep problems. During coaching, we analysed the dosha distribution together and identified a strong Vata dominance. Through a targeted change in diet, regular oil massages and mindfulness exercises, she was able to noticeably increase her energy and reported better sleep and more serenity in everyday life after a short time.
Another example: a team leader in the IT industry felt burnt out due to constant availability and high demands. With the support of Ayurvedic medicine, he developed a daily rhythm that balanced his Pitta energy and integrated short meditations into his daily work routine. The result: more focus, less irritability and a more positive team atmosphere.
Ayurvedic healing is also becoming increasingly important in agile organisations. For example, a company from the consulting sector regularly uses Ayurveda workshops to sensitise employees to stress prevention and self-care. The feedback is consistently positive - many report greater balance and greater job satisfaction.
Practical examples from the industry
BEST PRACTICE at GHI (name changed due to NDA contract) The management introduced weekly reflection sessions in which successes were recognised and new impetus was gathered. This demonstrably increased the sense of community and motivation within the management team. Ayurvedic healing helped to strengthen their own resources and promote a positive team climate.
BEST PRACTICE at company XYZ (name changed due to NDA contract) A team leader introduced daily breathing exercises and short meditations to reduce stress and increase concentration. Ayurvedic healing supported him in developing a daily rhythm that took his individual needs into account. The employees reported more balance and greater job satisfaction.
BEST PRACTICE at company ABC (name changed due to NDA contract) An executive introduced regular dietary changes and oil massages to increase her energy and reduce sleep problems. Ayurvedic healing helped her to recognise and balance her Dosha constitution. The feedback was consistently positive - she reported greater serenity and improved performance.

My analysis
The application of Ayurvedic healing arts in everyday management opens up a wide range of opportunities to sustainably support well-being and performance. The combination of mindful rituals, a balanced diet, the power of herbs and a conscious leadership style creates a holistic basis from which both managers and teams can benefit. Practical examples from the business world show that these impulses are often perceived as powerful support that can promote a healthier and more conscious approach to stress and demands.
