What does true loyalty mean? A story from the Neflental
One cold spring morning, as the first crocuses peeked through the last of the ice, Rosa Immergrün set off. Winter still had the Neflental firmly in its grip, but the sun was already showing a little more courage. Rosa Periwinkle was determined to get to the violet glade. It was said that a special play of light would illuminate the ancient statue in the centre today.
The path to the mirror pass
But before Rosa Periwinkle reached the violet glade, her path led over a dangerous path: the Mirror Pass. The pass was so smooth with ice that it reflected the blue of the sky like a mirror. Every step had to be taken carefully. Rosa Periwinkle slipped, but always caught herself again. The cold air prickled on her skin and made her alert.
Suddenly, Rosa Periwinkle heard soft voices behind her. It was her friends: Efi the little water gnome, Buchus from the beech forest and Steinchen from the mountains. They called out to Rosa Periwinkle because they also wanted to see the spectacle in the violet glade. Together they now stood in front of the smooth mirror pass. Efi's whole body was trembling because she was afraid of slipping.
Friends help each other
Rosa Periwinkle knew exactly how to encourage Efi. "Don't worry, we'll walk together and hold on tight!" shouted Rosa Periwinkle. The friends formed a chain so that no one lost their grip. Buchus, who was the strongest, led the group. Steinchen explained where the dangerous cracks in the ice were hidden. Step by step, they moved cautiously forwards. The air was freezing cold, but they felt the warmth of their friendship.
Halfway down the path, Steinchen suddenly fell. But before she could really fall, Rosa Periwinkle grabbed her hand firmly. Efi and Buchus helped immediately. Together they pulled Steinchen back to her feet. It wasn't easy at all and took a lot of strength from everyone.
True loyalty in the Neflental
Rosa Periwinkle felt that true loyalty is more than just kind words. True loyalty means not letting friends down, even when things get tough. Each of the friends was there for each other today. They laughed when they had solid ground under their feet again. No one felt alone. The bond of trust held them together.
The magical light in the violet glade
At last, Rosa Periwinkle and her friends reached the violet glade. The violet and yellow flowers glowed like a large spring picture. The statue stood in the centre, its face covered in moss. Rays of sunlight hit the stone eyes. They sparkled in a mysterious pearl grey. The friends sat down on the grass, watched enthusiastically and told each other stories.
The colours around them were vibrant: purple, sunny yellow, leafy green. Together in this special atmosphere, everyone felt what true loyalty is. It means always standing up for each other, whether on the slippery mirror pass or in the warm light of the violet glade.
What do we learn from this?
Rosa Immergrün and her friends showed how important it is to stick together. True loyalty makes friendship strong. If you have someone who helps you or who you can help, then you are never alone. Together you can overcome any challenge, even if it is sometimes difficult. In the end, a warm light is waiting - and your friendship shines brighter than anything else.
