The Neflental - a place full of consideration

In the Neflental valley, the day begins in bright colours. Moss-green meadows glisten in the morning light, golden sunbeams paint a brassy lustre on the ancient trees. It is autumn. The beech forests show their most beautiful mahogany colours. In the chestnut square, Rosa Immergrün happily rattles baskets. Chestnut balls are rolling everywhere. Children laugh, giggle and play tag. But today everyone realises that someone is not quite so happy.

The Bernblütenhain and an important task

Pink periwinkle feels the gentle breeze that carries the scent of honey and summer rain. The Bernblütenhain blooms in vibrant yellow. Bees buzz between the blossoms and birds chirp. Suddenly a young Flossian comes running. His hands are shaking because he is scared. He is supposed to take the large basket of amber blossom to Kastanienplatz in the evening. But the path is slippery with chestnut shells. He is afraid of tripping and spilling everything.

Rosa Periwinkle listens attentively. She thinks about how much courage it takes to ask for help. And because consideration is important in Neflental, Rosa gathers her friends together. The children nod, because everything is easier together.

Consideration grows like a golden flower

They think together about how they can help. Some of the friends sweep the cobblestones on Kastanienplatz. Others make sure that there are no more chestnuts in the way. Rosa Immergrün suggests that they all go to the Bernblütenhain together and collect the basket of flowers. Because everyone is careful with each other, nothing goes wrong.

On the way, one of the Buchians recounts how he once tripped because nobody was paying attention to the chestnuts. Everyone laughs and the young Flossian realises that nobody is perfect. The friends realise how consideration unites them and makes them braver. They reach the chestnut square. There they put down the large basket of golden yellow flowers. Their friendly interaction colours the air like the scent of honey.

On Kastanienplatz - A festival for everyone

The inhabitants of the Neflental valley meet on the colourful square. The benches are covered with moss-green blankets. The baskets of fruit gleam beige and brown. Suddenly, a small periwinkle starts to sway. Rosa Periwinkle quickly catches him. The elders nod approvingly. Friendship is shown in small deeds and big gestures. A Buchian pushes a heavy cart aside so that no one bumps into it.

Everyone says: "Together we are stronger!" They share warm drinks and laugh at colourful leaves that dance like butterflies. The thoughtfulness makes the atmosphere cheerful and peaceful. The young Flossian is beaming. He realises how nice it is to stick together in the Neflental, to encourage others and to look out for friendship.

What do we learn from this?

Sometimes all it takes is a small gesture. An attentive ear, a helping hand or a kind word. Consideration colours our lives golden yellow like the blossoms in the amber blossom grove. Because we look out for each other, fewer mishaps happen. And if something does go wrong, friends help immediately. In Neflental, everyone experiences how beautiful life is when you are stronger together. That's how consideration grows into real friendship - and that's really cool.
