What does humility mean in Neflental?
The day begins quietly in the Neflental valley. The sun's rays dance on the ferns and scatter golden sparks across the meadows. On a special spring day, Rosa Immergrün goes for a walk on the amber beach. The waves gently roll in, bringing small amber stones with them. An ancient insect rests in each stone, captured in golden splendour. Everything feels particularly calm and peaceful on the amber beach. Rosa listens to the sound of the water on the shore.
At the twilight river with pink periwinkle
The twilight river glows behind the bushes. Its water shimmers purple, misty grey, silver and rosé in the evening. Rosa Periwinkle loves throwing stones into the water and watching the ripples dance in the colourful light. But today she notices something else: a little Flossian is standing on the other shore. He is trying to pull a large mussel out of the water. The shell doesn't move a bit, no matter how hard he pulls.
Why humility helps
Rosa thinks about what she can do. She knows many spells and tricks. But this time it feels different. She doesn't shout loudly or wave around wildly. Instead, she takes a deep breath and thinks quietly. Then she walks carefully to the Flossian. Together they sit down at the edge of the twilight river. Rosa asks quietly: "Do you need help?" The Flossian nods. He says that he really wants the shell. But he can't do it alone. Rosa smiles and says: "Sometimes you need patience and a little humility."
Together we are stronger
The two reach for the shell together. They don't pull with all their strength. Instead, they think about how the water flows and when the waves help. They observe how the twilight river sometimes flows stronger, sometimes weaker. After a while, they realise that waiting is important. With a lot of patience and at the right moment, they easily release the mussel from the sand. The Flossian is amazed. He realises that you don't always have to be the strongest. Sometimes that's what makes a person really strong: humility, patience and solidarity.
The secret superpower in Neflental
On the way back to the amber beach, Rosa Periwinkle finds a particularly beautiful amber. Inside is a tiny dragonfly. Rosa thinks: Everyone in Neflental has their own gifts. But humility is a secret superpower. It helps to listen to others, admit mistakes and achieve difficult things together. Rosa now knows: Those who show humility are not weak. On the contrary! The greatest power in Rosa Periwinkle's heart is that she is always learning anew and allows herself to be helped. That's why her friends love coming to Rosa. Everyone realises how special this strength is.
