Digital detox is playing an increasingly important role in the hectic everyday lives of managers. Many clients report that they feel overwhelmed by the constant availability and countless digital stimuli. Digital detox offers an opportunity to consciously take a step back and regain more clarity. It helps you to focus on the essentials and direct your own attention in a targeted manner.

The digital detox enables managers to reduce their mental stress and recharge their batteries. Taking a conscious break from digital media allows them to focus on their personal goals and values. Many clients report that they enjoy their work more again after a phase of digital detox and can concentrate better on their tasks.

Why digital detox is so important in day-to-day management

Managers are confronted with a flood of information and demands on a daily basis. Constant availability via email, messenger and the like often leads to overload. The digital detox helps to reduce this sensory overload and create space for calm and reflection. It helps you to scrutinise your own media consumption and make conscious decisions.

On these days, managers and teams deliberately avoided electronic communication and instead focused on analogue workshops and creative processes. The employees used this time for personal conversations and joint activities. Team dynamics improved noticeably and employees reported greater satisfaction and motivation.

Use analogue alternatives, such as an analogue alarm clock or a notebook. Organise regular digital detox days or weekends to consciously distance yourself from digital media.
