A drone robot is an unmanned, usually flying device that can perform tasks completely or partially autonomously with the help of sensors and software. Unlike conventional drones, drone robots can often make decisions independently and operate in complex environments.

A simple example shows how drone robots are used in everyday life: They take over stocktaking in large warehouses. They fly through the shelves, scan barcodes and record stock levels. This saves employees a lot of time and avoids errors that could occur with manual counting.
