Netta Barzilai from Israel won the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon on Saturday evening. This is the fourth time Israel has won the contest. Ireland is still the most successful country in the History of EurovisionSong Contest, even if its glory days are long gone. Between 1970 and 1996, the Irish won the contest an impressive seven times, including three years in a row in the 1990s. Their last victory was 21 years ago, when Eimear Quinn was crowned the winner with the song "The Voice". ABBA claimed the first victory for Sweden in 1974, which has since won a total of six times, putting it in second place behind Ireland. The United Kingdom, France and Luxembourg follow with five wins each.
