The day slowly dawns in the Neflental valley. A thin, silvery mist hovers over the fern meadows. All the animals are still snuggled up in their warm nests, but a small figure is already jumping out of her soft bed of moss. Today, Rosa Periwinkle wants to achieve her great goal: she wants to stand in the Frostglanzhain and see the atmosphere of winter with her own eyes. Rosa has been dreaming of this for a long time. But the way there is long and full of adventure.

Achieving your dream with determination: planning and courage in the morning

Rosa Periwinkle likes to make plans. She counts her supplies, grabs her warm coat and a small lamp. Her friends wave after her. She should be careful! But Rosa just nods and calls out cheerfully: "With determination, I'll definitely get to my dream!" Then she trudges off.

The path first leads through the Silk Shadow Grove. There, delicate shadows dance on the ground and the light-coloured birch trunks shimmer like chalk. Little rangers greet Rosa with a cheerful whistle. But she doesn't stop, because she knows that you can't be distracted if you're determined to achieve your dream. Rosa smiles at the animals and bravely takes one step in front of the next.

Achieving your dream with determination: overcoming obstacles

Rosa soon realises that the ground is getting deeper and the wind icier. Suddenly, a large fallen branch lies in the path. Rosa stops for a moment. Should she turn back? No. She remembers: with determination to dream, anyone can achieve what they want. So she takes a running start and climbs over the obstacle. Her heart beats faster, but she can feel how strong she is.

The frost is already glistening on the branches. The air crackles with cold. Rosa is a little cold, but she keeps warm by walking on, thinking of her destination. As the sun slowly sets, she sees something silver-white twinkling between the dark trunks.

With determination to the dream: the glittering Frostglanzhain

At last, Rosa Periwinkle enters the Frostglanzhain. The birch trunks glow a midnight blue and their branches are covered in sparkling hoar frost. There are sparkles everywhere, as if someone had blown diamond dust into the air. Rosa stands there and marvels. She never imagined the Frostglanzhain to be so beautiful! Thanks to her determination, she is now standing in the place she has always dreamed of.

Rosa collects a small sprig of frost as a souvenir. Then she sits down on a tree stump and listens to the soft crackling of the ice. She takes a deep breath and suddenly feels very light. Her courage and perseverance have led her to her dream.

On the way back, Rosa thinks about her friends and how she can now tell them what she has experienced. She knows that she can always manage to pursue her dreams - if she never gives up and believes in herself.
