The term force feedback refers to a technology in which devices such as steering wheels, joysticks or other controls provide tangible feedback. This means that you can feel what is happening in a digital environment through small motors, vibrations or resistances. The aim of force feedback is to give operators a more realistic and intense feeling, as if they were actually interacting with a real object or machine.
For example, when driving a racing car in a car racing game or simulator, force feedback transmits the feeling of bumps in the road or cornering forces directly to your hands. As a result, you immediately notice if the car skids on the track or encounters resistance.
