Generosity in the Neflental: a special story

The days of the glorious high were something very special in the Neflental. The sun sent golden and amber-coloured rays across the wide meadows. Everything sparkled as if someone had scattered a thousand tiny gemstones. People dressed in colourful clothes sat on the banks of the lakes and celebrated. Lanterns shone everywhere, floating silently in the twilight. The glamour high was a happy and bright summer for everyone in Neflental.

A morning at the bay of water lilies

One morning, the bay of water lilies woke up quietly. The sun painted sapphire blue and coral red spots on the water. Large round leaves and delicate white flowers floated on the lake. Colourful fish danced beneath them and glittering dragonflies hovered above the water. It smelled of fresh water and warm moss. Pink periwinkle skipped happily along the shore and waved to the Flossians who were already splashing around in the water.

An important task

On this day, a great glamour festival was to be celebrated on the shores of Water Lily Bay. There were preparations everywhere: Lanterns were hung, tables were set up and wreaths of flowers were tied. Many people helped. But suddenly a little evergreen came running up all excited and asked for help.

"The Flossians are sad," he shouted. "Their float is stuck deep in the mud on the shore! They can't make it alone."

The others looked uncertainly at the lake. The mud was deep and very sticky. Everyone wanted to enjoy the glamour high - but now?

Generosity makes the difference

Rosa Periwinkle didn't hesitate for a moment. "Come on, let's go and help right away!" she shouted. But she wasn't strong enough to move the float on her own. So she kindly asked the revellers on the shore if they would like to lend a hand. At first, many looked hesitant. But then a Buchian jumped from a tree, a Flossian came swimming to the shore and even a few brave Bergsteins climbed down from the rocks.

They all joined forces. Their hands, their strength and their courage joined together. They laughed and shouted encouragement to each other. After pulling hard, the wagon slowly moved out of the mud. The Flossians cheered! Everyone helped everyone - and everyone felt how beautiful generosity can be.

Celebrating together makes you happier

The sun sparkled even more golden on the water and lanterns were reflected in the lake. The colourful group now sat together on the shore, eating sweet summer berries and listening to stories. They laughed, sang and shared the food. Even those who had hesitated at first were happy to have helped.

Rosa Periwinkle began to lay fresh flowers on the float. The Flossians smiled gratefully. Generosity had made the festival so beautiful. Everyone felt like heroes. It wasn't about getting something, but about giving something.

At the end of the day, the bay of water lilies glowed in the light of many small lanterns. The summer night sparkled with friendship and warmth. Everyone in Neflental knew that anyone who generously helps others is a real hero. That opens the heart and brings joy to everyone.
