Endless laughter in the Neflental

The sun is shining particularly brightly in Neflental on this day. Glanzhoch, the big summer festival, is just around the corner. Everywhere the inhabitants scurry around excitedly. The air shimmers with gold and amber, rivers glisten and even the blades of grass seem to dance. Today, they say, is the happiest day of the year.

Rosa Periwinkle jumps through the tall grass full of joy. She has been planning a prank all morning because she knows that humour makes every day better. After all, endless laughter is a must at the glamour festival! So she discovers the water lily bay on the edge of the crystal lake. It smells sweet there, and delicate white flowers rest on the large leaves. Colourful fish glide elegantly underneath and dragonflies swirl sparkling through the warm air.

Because Rosa Periwinkle is always up for a bit of fun, she decides to invite the residents. She calls out in a loud voice: "Come to Water Lily Bay! Here you can expect endless laughter!" Many friends quickly respond to her call, because everyone knows that the day will be more wonderful thanks to humour.

Humour at Glanzhoch

Everyone sits down on the warm stones on the shore and waits eagerly. The air is filled with glamour, music and cheerful voices. Rosa Periwinkle begins to tell funny stories about forgotten hats, dancing tadpoles and floating water lilies. Her eyes sparkle as she makes one grimace after another. The children giggle loudly and even the adult Buchians hold their stomachs with laughter. The atmosphere is so cheerful that even the dragonflies do a lap of honour over the heads of the revellers. The laughter gets louder with every joke, so that it rings out like bells over the water.

Suddenly, a water lily blossom lands on the head of a Flossian. "Oh no, now I've got a blossom hat!" he shouts. He strikes a funny pose and everyone starts snorting again. Rosa Periwinkle calls out: "You see, with a bit of humour, everything becomes an adventure!" So they dance in sun gold, laugh endlessly and draw crazy fish on their cheeks. The colours sapphire blue, coral red and emerald green shine particularly brightly on this day.

Laughter connects

As the sun slowly disappears behind the Dragon's Tooth Mountains, the inhabitants light small campfires. Colourful lanterns float silently into the twilight. Still no one stops laughing. Rosa Periwinkle hops from group to group, telling jokes and making even the shyest periwinkles giggle. Sometimes tears even roll down her cheeks - but only because the laughter is so big.

Children run around the fire, dance in circles and shout: "Laughter without end makes everything more beautiful!" The adults nod because they know that a day with humour is twice as easy. On the shore, the light of the flames is reflected in the lake, and even the iridescent dragonflies seem to smile at the jokes.

What do we learn from this?

Laughter without end makes life more colourful. Every day is easier with humour, because happy thoughts are infectious. Even the greatest sorrow disappears when friends laugh and joke together. And once you have experienced such a day, the magic of the Neflental will stay in your heart for a long time.
