According to the latest Price and income report of the Swiss bank UBS salaries are highest in the largest city on the west coast of the USA. Los Angeles has the world's highest purchasing power for the average salary of an employee. Los Angeles residents can afford almost a quarter more (23.9 per cent) than New Yorkers. The report compares 128 prices for goods and services and takes into account earnings in 15 occupations across all sectors in 77 cities worldwide.
