Why reliability is so important in the Neflental

An exciting day begins in the Neflental valley as the sun reaches its zenith. The rays dance in gold and amber. They illuminate the rivers and lakes, which sparkle like precious stones. Everywhere the inhabitants celebrate the festival of dancing lanterns. But in the midst of this colourful hustle and bustle, there is an important task.

Rosa Immergrün gets an order

Pink periwinkle stands at the edge of the Bernblütenhain. It smells of honey and summer rain. The golden yellow flowers sway in the warm wind. An elderly Flossian approaches them. He says excitedly that today a very special flower crown is to be tied for the fairy queen. This task is very important because the festival cannot begin without this crown. Rosa Periwinkle is chosen to pick all the matching flowers and bring them to the big fire by the lake on time.

Reliability is in demand

Rosa Periwinkle immediately nods in agreement. Because everyone in Neflental knows that reliability makes a hero. Many others would rather dance or rest. But Rosa Periwinkle decides to help the valley. She sets off for the sunny Bernblütenhain. The sun paints golden patterns on the ground while bees buzz from flower to flower.

She meets friends on the way. They call and wave because they want her to sing or play with them. But Rosa Periwinkle waves in a friendly manner. She says that she has an important task in Neflental. She has to bring the flowers in time, otherwise the festival will never begin.

A heroic deed in everyday life

In the amber blossom grove, she fills her basket with the most beautiful and golden flowers. The sun is burning and sweat is dripping from her forehead, but she doesn't give up. She quietly sings a song to motivate herself and thinks about how much the fairy queen needs the crown. At last she has collected enough blossoms. She quickly makes her way to the large fireplace by the crystal lake. The others are delighted to see her, because no one else would have brought the blossoms so punctually!

The fairy king arrives and receives the golden blossoms of pink periwinkle. The white elves weave them into a crown. Everyone marvels at the beautiful work. It smells of summer rain and honey, and the colours of the glittering festival are reflected in the crown of flowers.

The fire bowl is lit. Lanterns rise into the sky and dance like fireflies over the lake. Everyone celebrates because the big party can begin thanks to reliability. Rosa Periwinkle is celebrated as a hero. She has kept her promise and everyone is happy.
