Human-centred AI design is particularly at home in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital society and digital transformation. The aim is to develop AI systems in such a way that they respect and support people's needs, wishes and limitations. People are therefore at the centre of all considerations.

Instead of focusing solely on data or technical possibilities, human-centred AI design asks: How can technology really improve people's everyday lives? The aim is to design artificial intelligence in such a way that it is easy to understand, safe and trustworthy. In addition, people should always remain in control, especially when making important decisions.

An illustrative example: Imagine a health app that uses AI to provide personalised nutrition tips. With human-centred design, the development team makes sure that users receive clear explanations and that their feedback is incorporated into further development. The app could regularly ask how satisfied the person is with the suggestions and adapt its recommendations accordingly.

In this way, human-centred AI design ensures that artificial intelligence not only functions technically, but also provides us with truly meaningful support in our everyday lives.
