Military robots are primarily at home in the fields of artificial intelligence, drone technology and robots. They are specialised machines that perform tasks on behalf of the military that are dangerous, difficult or very time-consuming for humans. Military robots can operate remotely or autonomously, depending on how they are built and programmed.

One well-known example is unmanned drones, which are used to monitor large areas. They fly autonomously and provide up-to-date images or information to a control centre. Some military robots are also used on the ground, for example to defuse bombs. Humans can control them from a safe distance, allowing dangerous tasks to be carried out without soldiers having to risk their lives.

Military robots use modern technologies such as sensors and cameras to recognise their surroundings. With the help of artificial intelligence, they even learn and adapt to new challenges. In this way, military robots not only help to protect human lives, but also make military operations more efficient and safer overall.
