Mindfulness in the Neflental: Rosa Immergrün's magical summer adventure
There was a time in the Neflental valley that all the inhabitants called the glamour high. The sun shimmered golden in the sky and the light danced in shades of amber and gold on the many clear lakes. Rivers sparkled like glittering ribbons. People sat all along the banks, colourful lanterns shone and soft songs rang out across the water. It was summer. At this special time, life was full of wonder.
One morning, Rosa Periwinkle woke up and was looking forward to the day. She wanted to go to the crystal lake with her friends and celebrate the glamour festival. But she realised that her head was full of thoughts. It felt like her heart was heavy and her legs were tired. She wondered why she felt so strange when everything around her was so beautiful.
Pink evergreen discovers the silver moss grove
After breakfast, Rosa Periwinkle decided to go for a walk on her own. Her path led her past glowing ferns, across emerald-green meadows and along a small, sparkling stream. Soon she reached the Silbermoos grove. Old willows stood there, their branches gently dipping into the water like green curtains. The ground was soft and silvery, the moss glistened like stardust in the sunlight. Little moss nymphs flitted around quietly and looked up at her curiously.
The world seemed quieter in this place. The buzzing of the bees and the singing of the birds sounded clearer, everything was peaceful. Rosa Periwinkle took a deep breath and sat down on the soft silver moss. She closed her eyes.
Mindfulness - the superpower from the Neflental valley
A moss nymph slowly approached. "You're sad and full of thoughts, aren't you?" she asked. Rosa Periwinkle nodded. "Sometimes it's too loud in my head," she replied softly. The nymph smiled warmly. "Do you want to learn how to calm down? Mindfulness is our superpower. We moss nymphs use it every day."
The nymph showed her how she could feel her breath. Together they listened to the rippling of the water. Rosa Periwinkle felt the soft moss under her hands, savoured the golden light on her skin and heard the crackling of the twigs. More and more she realised how light her heart was becoming. Her thoughts slowly became quieter.
Moments of happiness by the lake - how mindfulness changes everything
After a while, Rosa Periwinkle stood up. She thanked the moss nymphs and walked on to the crystal lake. The sun was reflected in the water. Lanterns everywhere drew colourful lines in the air. Her friends waved to her. Now she could really enjoy the festival, because she was completely in the here and now.
She noticed the colours around her: the sapphire blue of the water, the coral red of the lanterns and the emerald green of the meadows. The gold of the sun glistened on her hair. Everything seemed more beautiful and brighter than before. Rosa Periwinkle laughed out loud because she could finally feel the little wonders again.
In the evening, she sat round the campfire with her friends. She talked about what she had experienced in the Silbermoos grove. And together they tried out being quiet for a moment, simply feeling and hearing how wonderful life is in the Neflental.
What do we learn from this?
Sometimes we go through the day and don't realise how many beautiful things surround us. When we are mindful, we gain a superpower: we feel joy, peace and strength in every moment. Rosa Immergrün experienced in the Neflental that mindfulness changes things in life. And we can learn to do the same - to be mindful and experience everyday life like a magical adventure.
