A willingness to learn leads to success - an adventure in the Neflental valley

The day begins gently and quietly in the Neflental valley. The season is called Blütenwacht and the valley still rests in the morning mist. Between the cherry and violet blossoms shining on the mossy trees, little mythical creatures awaken everywhere. Rosa Immergrün is also slowly coming to life, while fine dewdrops gather on the cobwebs and the light sparkles in pastel pink, lilac and pearly white. She loves this time of year, when everything seems so peaceful and magical.

A special task awaits

There is something particularly important for Rosa Periwinkle to do that day. She has heard that the magical Shadow Gate, a large black basalt arch, needs help. Only at sunrise does a golden ray of light shine through it, leaving a glowing trail on the ground. But this morning the ray of light is missing. Something is wrong and the Shadow Gate seems sad and silent.

Rosa Periwinkle senses that she has to find out what is going on. But she doesn't yet know how to solve the problem. She's never done anything like this before. Maybe she needs new skills - and a lot of courage.

Willingness to learn opens up new paths

Instead of being afraid, Rosa Periwinkle sets off on her journey. She wants to learn what she can do. First, she visits the wise periwinkles in the fern meadows. She asks them how the basalt arch actually works and why sunlight is so important. The evergreens explain to her that it sometimes happens: When the flowers in the valley grow particularly quickly, they block out the light for a brief moment. Then someone has to carefully push the flowers aside.

Rosa Periwinkle has never done this before, but she listens carefully. She says thank you and walks on through the emerald green valley. On the way, she practises how to carefully lift the delicate cherry blossoms with her hands - without hurting them. She realises that it's not that easy. But she slowly gets better and better.

You reach your goal with perseverance

When Rosa Periwinkle arrives at the Shadow Gate, she can already see the large, shining trail that the golden ray usually leaves behind. Today it remains dull, because many branches and flowers are hanging in the way. Rosa Periwinkle begins to arrange the flower stalks as the periwinkles have explained to her. She is careful not to hurt any of the flowers. It takes quite a while because there are so many flowers in the way. But she doesn't give up.

A few mythical creatures running around in the shadows watch them curiously. Some hide, others give tips. Rosa Periwinkle is happy about their help. She learns something new every moment. The cobwebs glisten in the dew, birds chirp, and finally the path is clear. The first ray of sunlight falls through the shadow gate. The golden glow dances across the ground and the trail begins to glow. The dawn becomes brighter and everyone rejoices.

A willingness to learn leads to success in the Neflental

Rosa Immergrün would never have achieved this if she hadn't been prepared to learn new things. She asked, practised and kept trying. She never gave up, even when things got difficult. In the end, she was able to solve the problem and the whole of Neflental can now see how important willingness to learn and perseverance are. Because Rosa Periwinkle wanted to learn, the magical gate shines again in golden light.

What do we learn from this?

When we learn something new, we become stronger and braver. We can achieve a lot if we keep practising and asking questions. Sometimes it takes patience or help from others - but with a willingness to learn, we will reach our goal. And perhaps a magical ray of sunshine will await us at the end of a difficult path in our own lives.
