Humility in Neflental: the secret superpower that makes you strong

Life awoke early on a bright spring day in the Neflental valley. Birds were chirping everywhere and the leaves were glistening with morning dew. Rosa Periwinkle woke up, full of curiosity and a thirst for action. A special adventure was waiting for her today.

A mysterious place on the lakeshore

Fairy reeds lay on the banks of the crystal lake. The wide belt of reeds was home to tiny water elves. When they wanted to, they let the wind blow through the reeds, creating a gentle melody across the water. Rosa Periwinkle watched in fascination as silver wings flashed through the air. The water elves smiled at her, because they knew that curiosity is the beginning of all adventures.

The encounter in the violet glade

Soon Rosa Periwinkle wandered deeper into the valley and reached a hidden violet glade. Everything shone in violet blue, sunshine yellow and fresh leaf green. In the centre stood an ancient statue, thickly covered in moss. The sun sent small rays that made the statue's stone eyes sparkle.

Rosa Periwinkle discovered that a small group of water elves had gathered in the clearing. The elves wanted to clean the statue, but they were too small. They called for help, because together we are strong. Rosa Periwinkle thought about what to do. She could have done the job all by herself because she was taller. But instead she knelt down in the violet herb and asked: "How can I help you without disturbing your fairy magic?"

Humility: Helping without appearing bigger

The water elves were amazed. "You could just take everything off our hands," said one of them, "but you're asking us. That's very kind." So they made a plan. While the elves tied fine spider threads into small brushes, Rosa Periwinkle collected the moss from the statue. The elves sang, letting the wind whistle melodies through the reeds in the fairy reeds. The cleaning team worked hand in hand and hand in wing.

It wasn't important who was the biggest or the fastest. Rosa Periwinkle realised that humility means seeing the strengths of others and making a contribution - without showing off. Together, they got the statue sparkling clean. The sun was now reflected in the friendly grey stone eyes.

Together we are strong

The water elves organised a party to thank them. They brought violet honey and danced in a circle. The music wafted across the valley to the furthest corners of the fairy reeds. The flute of the stalks could still be heard in the evening.

Rosa Periwinkle felt happy and proud at the same time, but not because she had managed everything on her own. It was a warm, quiet feeling - as if she had discovered a secret superpower.

What do we learn from this?

Humility is stronger than showing off. Those who listen to others and support them are part of the great magic of life in Neflental. You don't always have to be the hero to make life brighter. Help that comes from the heart is like sunshine on a cool morning - it warms everyone in the valley.
