Strong together in the Neflental - An adventure in the bay of water lilies

In the heart of the Neflental Valley, the glorious high season begins today. This is the most beautiful time of the summer. The sun is high in the sky and bathes everything in golden and amber-coloured hues. Sparkling rivers meander through the valley. Everywhere the water glows sapphire blue and little sparks dance on the waves. Colourful festivals are celebrated. Everywhere, cheerful people sit on the banks, laughing, singing and waving lanterns that float gently through the warm summer twilight.

In the midst of this festive atmosphere, Rosa Periwinkle and her friends hatch a secret plan. They want to win the annual water lily race. To do so, they meet at the water lily bay, a quiet corner of the crystal-clear lake. Many large, round leaves float close together there. White water lilies bloom in between, while colourful fish glide around under the surface. Dragonflies buzz in the sun, their wings glittering with colour.

A competition begins

All the friends are excited. Each team has to build a water lily boat out of leaves and paddle it to the colourful ball of light in the middle of the bay. A task like this has a lot to do with team spirit, because nobody can do it alone. Some say they are strong enough and can do it, but Rosa Periwinkle knows that they can only be unbeatable if they work together.

Her friends - the clever Buchian from the Beech Forest, a brave Flossian from Crystal Lake, a nimble Bergsteins from the mountains and a shy white elf from Neflensee - first want to build a boat for themselves. But the water lily leaves tear if you touch them alone, and when they try to paddle, the boat goes round in circles and doesn't make any progress.

Team spirit brings success

Rosa Periwinkle calls out: "Come on, let's try it together! Everyone is good at something different. If we stick together, we're unbeatable!" The clever Buchian knows how to bind the leaves properly. The Flossian shows the fastest way to glide through the water. The Bergsteins make sure that everything sticks together, and the little elf takes on the steering and balancing.

Suddenly it's very easy. They laugh, work hand in hand and the new boat becomes strong and big. The sun bathes everything in a lush emerald green. The water is a vibrant sapphire blue as they dip their paddles into the water. Together they glide over the smooth surface. Their boat swims faster than all the others. Dragonflies accompany them and sunbeams dance on the waves around them.

Arrival at destination

When they reach the colourful ball, colourful lanterns rise above the bay of water lilies. The fish turn somersaults in the water. Everyone on the shore cheers because the best team has won. Not only have they completed the race, but they have also realised that each individual is important, but together they really are unbeatable!

The summer evening glows in a warm coral red colour. Around the campfire, the friends talk about their adventure. The sun slowly sinks behind the mountains and the Neflental falls asleep. If you listen carefully, you can still hear soft laughter from the water lily bay - because that's what team spirit feels like.

What do we learn from this?

When friends stick together, they can do anything. Team spirit turns many individuals into an unbeatable team. Together, every task can be accomplished and is even more fun!
