Stories from the Neflental: Showing pride in performance

A new day begins in the Neflental. In the morning, a fine mist lies over the Blütenwacht. Delicate pastel colours shine everywhere. Cherry and violet blossoms glow in pink and lilac. The trees are old and covered in soft, lush moss. Fine cobwebs glisten in the dew. Sometimes shadows of mythical creatures flit past, so quickly that you can't even blink. Rosa Periwinkle wakes up among all these mysterious things.

Rosa Periwinkle has a lot planned for today. For weeks, Rosa has been practising weaving small, sparkling wreaths from fern fronds. In the afternoon, a joint celebration is to take place at the maple bonfire glade. The maple trees there burn bright red and orange, as if flames were dancing through the forest. Many residents of the Neflental come and celebrate when autumn is at its most beautiful.

The big challenge at the maple glade

A few days ago, Rosa Periwinkle was still sad. The first fern wreath looked crooked and lopsided. The flowers wouldn't hold, the light pastel colours suddenly looked sad and the green fern spiral kept falling apart. After a while, Rosa almost wanted to give up. But many friends from Neflental encouraged Rosa. "You can be proud of yourself. Every wreath gets better, you're learning!" they said.

Rosa Periwinkle continued to practise in the flower guard every morning. The cool air and the fresh dew revitalised her. Rosa soon felt her hands becoming more confident. More and more often, she managed to create a beautiful little wreath of flowers. The colours pink, lilac, green and pearl white danced in the wind. Sometimes Rosa paused, looked at the wreaths and realised: "I'm getting better!" That made Rosa proud.

Then came the big day. The sun slowly rose. The fog lifted and the maple glow shone from afar. Friends were gathered everywhere. They marvelled at the glowing trees and looked forward to the wreaths from Rosa Immergrün.

Celebrating success in the Neflental

Rosa Periwinkle placed the best wreaths in the centre of the clearing. All the colours of autumn and the flower guard were now united there. The friends clapped and praised Rosa. "Look what you've made out of fern leaves and flowers! That's festive magic!" exclaimed one. Rosa felt a warm tickle in her stomach.

Sometimes it's hard to like your own work. But everyone in Neflental knows that small successes are something special! They should be celebrated. Even the shy mythical creatures from the Blütenwacht were attracted by Rosa's wreaths and marvelled at them.

After the party, Rosa looked for a quiet spot under the maple trees. Rosa smiled and said quietly: "I did it." Then there was that feeling of pride again, shining like a warm light in her heart.

What do we learn from this?

In Neflental, everyone learns to be proud of their own successes. It's good to celebrate others. But you can also celebrate yourself! If you try something, even if it doesn't work at first, you will get better. Successes are sometimes small, but important. Maybe friends will help you or you practise again. In the end, you can proudly say: "I did it!" And you should celebrate that.
