You can do anything with determination - a story from the Neflental valley

It was particularly beautiful in the Neflental valley in autumn. The leaves in the copper forest glowed copper, gold and cinnamon brown. A blanket of soft, rustling leaves lay over the ground. Mist floated between the dense trees. Rosa Immergrün loved this time of year because the valley seemed enchanted.

The magical wish of Rosa Periwinkle

One misty morning, Rosa Periwinkle heard the old Periwinkles in the forest. They told her that there was a spring called Goldquell up on the hillside. Its water was said to shimmer golden and make anything you wanted possible if you showed determination. But the way there was long and steep. Many had already tried to reach the spring - but only a few had made it to the golden water.

Rosa Periwinkle listened intently and decided: "I can do it. I won't give up." She desperately wanted to see the golden water and whisper her secret wish into the spring.

On the way to the destination

Rosa Periwinkle grew tired at the first hill. Thick clouds of mist crept over the ground. At one point, she even slipped and fell into a pile of leaves. But she picked herself up again straight away and said quietly: "I'm going on!" And so it went again and again. Behind every tree that stopped her, behind every tricky branch that she pushed aside, there was a little adventure.

Rosa Periwinkle saw deer, dancing squirrels and even a few glittering fairy lights. Her feet became heavy, but she always remembered her wish. She wanted to reach the source of the gold spring, so she walked on step by step.

Why determination is so important

As the fog lifted, the bright yellow flowers at the golden spring shone in the autumn light. Water sprang from the earth, sparkling like molten gold and flowed down the slope in a peaceful stream. Rosa Periwinkle had to smile. She closed her eyes and spoke her wish softly into the golden water.

Rosa Periwinkle immediately felt proud and happy because she had not given up. Her wish may not have been fulfilled immediately, but she felt that she had become stronger. It's always the same when you keep at it, even when the road gets tough. Determination helps you to achieve your dreams.

On the way back through the copper forest, Rosa Periwinkle sang a little song. The golden, cinnamon-brown and shiny copper leaves trickled gently to the ground. The Neflental was alive and shining and every corner was full of magic.

What do we learn from this?

Sometimes a destination seems very far away. The path is not always easy, it has many slopes, fog or steep paths. But with determination and small steps, you can achieve anything. Don't give up and believe in yourself, just like Rosa Immergrün in Neflental. Something beautiful awaits you at the end - maybe even a golden stream and a secret wish that will come true.
