Cool and punctual in Neflental: a day with Rosa Immergrün

In the Neflental valley, the fern meadows glistened like an emerald green sea. Summer swayed between the towering bracken ferns. The sun shone like gold, the air smelled of herbs and happiness. Colourful flowers grew all over the roofs of the wooden houses and lanterns floated silently in the sky in the early evening. The time of the glamour high had arrived, and that meant big summer parties by the lake for everyone!

But it wasn't time yet. Rosa Periwinkle crept quietly out of her little house under the fern leaf roof. Today she was supposed to announce the start of the festival, on time like a sundial! But what did it actually mean to be cool and punctual?

Practising punctuality in the fern meadows

The sun rises early in the glamour high, so she got up with the first ray of sunshine. She looked at her little hourglass and thought about how she could keep an eye on the time. Because being on time makes life easier. Everyone is happy when they know that someone is coming on time. That way they can start together and nobody misses out on the fun.

Rosa met Grom, the goatherd, on the banks of the small river. He had to take his animals to the pasture. Grom often had difficulty remembering when the day began. Rosa showed him a trick: "Imagine the rooster as an alarm clock. If it crows, it's time to go!" Grom nodded, smiled and thought the idea was cool. It's a quick way to learn to be on time.

Being on time for the festivities is cool!

As she continued to walk through the fern meadows, she heard the first sounds of cheerful music. The other meadow gnomes hurriedly cleaned the lanterns. Colourful ribbons fluttered between the houses in coral red and sapphire blue. Children laughed and ran through the tall grass with their goats. Everyone wanted to be on time so that no fun was lost.

Arriving at the market square, Rosa realised that punctuality also helps others. Only if everyone gets going together will the party be unforgettable. Those who arrived late often missed the best stories around the campfire or the first dance song in the light of the lanterns. Rosa knew that being cool and punctual wins you friends and adventures!

Punctuality makes life easier

Now the big moment had arrived. She took a deep breath, rang the little copper bell and shouted: "The party begins!" Everyone immediately gathered on the meadow. The warm rays of sunshine glistened on the water. The music started and small boats with colourful flags glided along the river. Rosa grinned because everything was going as she had planned.

Later, around the campfire, the children told each other the stories of the day. They all agreed: being on time is not only honest, but also really cool! You don't miss anything and you show others that you care about them. Everyone who arrived on time for the party could see the twinkling of the lanterns and hear the singing of the meadow gnomes.

What do we learn from this?

Being cool and punctual is not difficult at all. If you don't forget the time and prepare step by step, you'll experience the best moments. Everyone in the Neflental now knows that being punctual makes the day magical and turns you into a true punctuality pro!
