The US Supreme Court ruled on Monday in favour of a Colorado baker who refused to bake a wedding cake for a homosexual couple because it was not compatible with his religious principles. According to a survey conducted by the non-partisan Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI)most religious groups do not believe that small business owners should be allowed to refuse service to gays and lesbians on religious grounds
Only a majority of white evangelical Protestants and Mormons believe that small business owners in their state should be allowed to do so for religious reasons. Unitarians/Universalists seem to be the most tolerant.
