The Neflental and the art of respect

There is always something going on in the Neflental. Particularly when spring comes through the valley with its light veil of colour. The colours are everywhere: misty white, lilac, moss green and sometimes everything shimmers like ripe peaches in the meadows. The mists dance in the morning light and the people of the Neflen valley prepare for the great spring festival.

An adventure begins

On a cool spring morning like this, Rosa Periwinkle sets off down Moonlight Lane. The path is narrow and lined with ferns. Above her, the light of the full moon shimmers in silver flecks. The birds chirp softly. Rosa Periwinkle whistles them a song and a little sparrow flies up beside her.

There are always new friends to discover in the Neflental. Rosa Immergrün soon meets Brummel, the little mountain stone, who is sitting alone by the wayside. Brummel looks sad. Normally he loves Rosa Periwinkle's stories and is always happy to laugh. But today he is looking down.

Why does Brummel feel alone?

Rosa Periwinkle sits down next to Brummel. She asks kindly: "Do you want a piece of my honey bread?" But Brummel says quietly: "The Flossians laughed this morning because I'm wearing mossy boots. I don't understand them. That really annoyed me."

The question often arises in the Neflental: How do I stay calm when someone makes a fool of me? Rosa Immergrün listens carefully because she knows that respect is particularly important. She understands Brummel's feelings. Everyone wants to be taken seriously, even if their shoes are mossy or their voice is sometimes crooked.

The power of a calm heart

Especially in the veil grove, where mist and light flow into each other, it is easy to think. Rosa Periwinkle suggests that Brummel walk through the wet grass. "Come on, let's look at the colours in the veil grove together. That's where I take a deep breath when I get angry."

In Neflental, the friends learn that respect sometimes simply means listening, not laughing at others and remaining friendly. Rosa Immergrün tells how she was once laughed at herself. The Flossians had noticed her muddy ankles. But she remained calm, took a deep breath and kindly asked if they could play along.

Friends win with respect in the Neflental

In the pale mist of the veil grove, the air feels as soft as silk. Pink Periwinkle and Brummel see how the sun's rays and fine drops glisten. Suddenly the Flossians appear. It is quiet for a moment. Then Rosa Periwinkle says: "Nice of you to come. We're just watching the fog play. Do you want to too?" She smiles sincerely and calmly.

The Flossians look puzzled at first, then nod. One of them even mumbles: "Your boots look particularly mossy today, Brummel. That's actually cool!" Everyone laughs. An argument turns into a new friendship.

What you can learn from the Neflental

In Neflental, Rosa Immergrün and her friends learn that showing respect wins friends. That way you stay cool - even if someone teases you. If you listen, stay calm and are friendly, you can turn small problems into wonderful things.

Rosa Immergrün knows that everyone is welcome in Neflental, no matter how mossy their shoes or how crooked their song. In the mist of the Veil Grove and on the silver path of Moonlight Lane, new friendships are formed when everyone treats each other openly and respectfully.

What do we learn from this?

In Neflental, respect is more than just a word. With politeness, honest listening and a calm heart, you will make real friends. Just stay friendly, just like Rosa Immergrün does. Then you too will experience how beautiful and colourful life can be - and not just in the Neflental!
