Enchanting the Neflental with generosity
A very special atmosphere was awakening in Neflental. It was winter and the world was wrapped in a glittering dress of silver, snow white, fir green and deep blue. In the early morning, snow crystals sparkled in the light of the rising sun. They shimmered like little stars on the branches of the tall fir trees.
A narrow path to a wondrous encounter
That day, Rosa Periwinkle was walking along the shadowy snow path. On the left, shadows fell from the old fir trees onto the narrow path; on the right, the snow shone brightly. As Rosa Periwinkle trudged carefully from footprint to footprint, she discovered little animal paws in the glistening white. She thought: What if everything was possible today?
Rosa Immergrün has always wanted to meet a hero. But what if you could be one yourself? She remembered the words of her friend: "With generosity, you can work miracles - and change the world."
Warmth in the moss lantern forest
The shadowy snow path led Rosa Periwinkle into the famous moss lantern forest. Here, large mushrooms shone like little lamps and bathed the whole ground in a warm, golden light. Mist rose from the ground and sparkling points of light floated through the air everywhere.
Animals were sitting among the shiny mushrooms, freezing. A little rabbit was shivering because his fur was all wet. A squirrel was desperately searching for a nut in the snow. Further back, a fox crept along, its leg injured and crawling with difficulty. No one dared to speak to anyone else because everyone was hungry and exhausted.
A heart full of courage
Rosa Periwinkle didn't think for long. She unpacked her rucksack. She took out a large piece of bread, a few dried berries and even her soft scarf. She ran to the hare first. She kindly shared half of the bread and wrapped the scarf around the trembling spoon ears. Then she gave the squirrel some berries and helped him look for a caranut in the warm mushroom light. She handed the fox a small bandage that she carried with her.
The animals were amazed. No one had expected anyone to be so generous without asking. The hare smiled, the squirrel jumped up and down happily and even the fox wagged its tail gratefully. They all snuggled together while the moss lanterns twinkled. Together they suddenly felt strong and brave.
Generosity transforms winter
A short time later, other animals came out of the shadows. They took courage because they saw how the others were now laughing. Everyone shared what they still had: a mouse pulled out a biscuit, an eagle owl brought dried herbs and even the badger invited everyone to sit with him in a particularly warm place. This is how a celebration of friendship came about in the middle of winter.
Rosa Periwinkle looked into the shining faces. She sensed that generosity is more than just giving something away. It connects. It gives you the courage to try something new and changes the world - step by step, heart to heart.
The forest of moss lanterns shone brighter than ever. The Neflental valley was filled with laughter and warmth. Those who join in and are generous become heroes for many.
What do we learn from this?
We can all change the world - including you! Generosity begins with a smile or a small deed. It grows when you share and help others without asking for anything in return. This is how you become a hero in everyday life and make the world a little brighter every day.
