Community in the Neflental - Together we are unbeatable!
A special day begins in the Neflental valley. Because today the big autumn festival is to take place on the Tannenglutkuppe. Even in the morning, everyone can feel the exciting crackling in the air. The trees are bathed in twilight as the wind swirls the colourful leaves through the valley. Yellow, orange and purple dance together and look like a treasure trove of colours.
Pink periwinkle runs happily across the damp meadow. Many inhabitants of the Neflental want to help with the festival. Children and gnomes from all corners of the valley are already waiting on the Tannenglutkuppe. The fir trees always glow red in the evening, and right now, in the storm song, they glow like torches in the soft light.
No one is alone in the Neflental
Everyone in the Neflental knows: You have to stick together at the autumn festival. Everyone brings something. Rosa Immergrün has collected berries, the neighbours haul in wood and large baskets full of mushrooms come from the fern forest. It smells of cinnamon and copper as a cloud of misty grey floats over the meadow and the first ghostly storytellers appear. Their flaming tongues tell old stories.
But this year is different. A heavy wind is driving in thick clouds. The Tannenglutkuppe threatens to drown in the rain. Rosa Immergrün senses that a sense of community is needed now. Together with everyone, she comes up with a clever plan.
Community spirit in the Neflental
Everyone in Neflental is thinking together. How can the party still be a success? Rosa Immergrün suggests interweaving the dishevelled branches with strong fern leaves. The grown-ups help the little ones. They make a windbreak out of branches and cover the ground with soft purple leaves. The storytellers' flames remain, and their sparks dance brighter than ever in the grey mist.
Soon everyone realises that if everyone in the Neflental valley works together, there is nothing they can't do. The fir trees on the hilltop now protect everyone from the storm. The campfire crackles while the wind continues to whistle outside. Rosa Periwinkle distributes the berries and her friends pass around steaming mushroom soup.
Together we are unbeatable in the Neflental
The colours of the Sturmsang glow brighter as the storytellers send their sparks into the air. In the light of the flames, the forest dwellers laugh as the stories of courage and friendship warm them. Rosa Periwinkle realises how a feeling of happiness spreads. A community like this only exists in the Neflental.
Late in the evening, as the mist descends quietly on the fields, the friends sit together on the Tannenglutkuppe. The storytellers are still talking about old times. They all know: You are never alone in Neflental, because community makes everything possible.
What do we learn from this? Sticking together is the best thing there is. If everyone in Neflental helps each other, they can overcome any storm. So the autumn festival will never be forgotten - and only one thing remains in our hearts: together we are unbeatable!
