Changing the world with responsibility: A day in the Neflental

This story begins in the heart of the Neflen Valley, where the summer air smells sweetly of honey and rain. The sun spreads its golden rays over the wide glistening plateau. The light dances in amber colours on the meadows, the mountains shine like giant gemstones. Sparkling rivers meander through the valley. Children and young people sit by the water, laughing, talking and looking forward to the big summer sun celebration.

In the midst of this summer, while Glanzhoch spreads its golden veil, Rosa Immergrün wanders along the edge of the Bernblütenhain. The scent of warm honey and fresh summer rain is everywhere. Birds chirp softly in the emerald-green bushes. Butterflies flutter between the golden-yellow blossoms as if they wanted to dance with the wind. Rosa Immergrün breathes in the wonderful scent and thinks about how beautiful summer is in the Neflental.

A task for the entire valley

But something is wrong on this day. Some soft flowers lie bent on the ground and fine dust covers the edge of the clean river. Rosa Periwinkle discovers an empty cup and colourful pieces of paper by the water, which must have been forgotten after the festival. A sad butterfly sits on a flower that has been crushed under the weight of a cardboard box.

Rosa Periwinkle stops. "We can't let the valley look like this," she says quietly to herself. "If we want our home to stay beautiful and clean, we have to take responsibility." Rosa Periwinkle calls a few friends who are playing on the bank. Together they fetch a basket. They collect the pieces of paper, carefully fish the cup out of the water and gently put the bent petals back.

Changing the world of the Neflental together

Gradually, more and more children and young people join Rosa Immergrün. They joke and laugh as they once again transform the Bernblütenhain into a fragrant, golden carpet. They find an old lantern and a piece of fabric on the riverbank. They use them to make new, small lanterns for the next party.

The paper lanterns dance and come to life in the last light of the shining sun. At this moment, everyone realises that even something small can have a big impact if many people take responsibility together. Everyone can help with simple steps - picking up the rubbish, getting a friend to join in or making sure that no rubbish ends up in the river.

Glamour high in the Bernblütenhain - a moment full of magic

In the evening, the shore is clean again. Shiny high now shines with all the colours of the palette: radiant sun gold, deep sapphire blue, bright coral red and fresh emerald green. Rosa Periwinkle sits around the campfire with her friends. The light of the lanterns floats above them in the twilight, and a cheerful song rings through the Neflental valley. Everyone realises that, together, we all have a small part to play in the bigger picture.

The inhabitants of the Neflen valley celebrate together that they have kept their valley clean and beautiful. Sometimes it's that easy to change the world with responsibility. Rosa Immergrün smiles and knows that every day offers a new opportunity to do good.
