Openness makes Neflental strong
In the Neflental valley, the morning begins with golden rays of sunshine and fresh dew on the fern leaves. A gentle breeze sweeps across the violet glade, bringing with it the scent of crocuses and violets. The flowers here glow in violet, sunny yellow and leaf green. In the centre of the clearing rests an ancient statue covered in moss. Sunbeams dance on its pearl grey eyes. It is spring and the valley is full of life.
An adventure in the Bernblütenhain
One day in spring, Rosa Periwinkle decides to embark on a new adventure. The birds are chirping happily and the bees are buzzing above the golden yellow blossoms of the Bernblütenhain. It smells of honey and summer rain. Rosa Periwinkle feels the tingle of excitement in her stomach and sets off. But today Rosa Periwinkle feels a little different than usual. Something in her heart just wants to be herself, no matter what the other gnomes might say.
The secret wish in your heart
In Neflental, everyone can do something special. Some sing, others conjure up little lights, some can even talk to animals. Rosa Periwinkle likes to try out her own ideas. But sometimes Rosa Periwinkle thinks: "Am I perhaps too different?" This question accompanies her on her way through the blooming meadow full of golden flowers.
The courage to be open makes you strong
A group of young gnomes are already waiting in the Bernblütenhain. They are playing, laughing loudly and telling each other stories. Rosa Periwinkle watches for a moment and hesitates. Should Rosa Periwinkle join the others and play? Or would she rather sit by the fence and daydream quietly? Rosa Periwinkle gathers all her courage and steps forward. "Hello, can I play along?" asks Rosa Periwinkle and feels her heart beating wildly.
Some gnomes look surprised. One shouts: "Of course, come and join us!" And a smile flits across many faces. As they play together, Rosa Periwinkle realises that everyone brings something special to the table. Some tell incredible jokes, others can sing beautifully. But everyone is open to each other and everyone does what they do best.
Violet glade: a place full of magic
Later, Rosa Periwinkle walks to the violet glade with some friends. They are curious about the ancient statue in the middle, whose pearly grey eyes sometimes shine like little suns. The friends sit down together in a circle. They talk about their favourite things to do. Everyone listens intently, because openness makes you strong.
Rosa Immergrün now tells how people like to compose their own songs instead of always singing the same ones as everyone else. A small, quiet gnome claps his hands softly and says he likes to draw colourful pictures in the sand. The sun peeks through the trees. It feels nice to be so open and to show who you really are.
Everyone is a little different - and that's a good thing
At the end of the day, everyone lies laughing on the carpet of violets and crocuses. You can feel the friendship growing. No one is the same in Neflental, and that's what makes this place so special. Openness makes you strong, because everyone is allowed to boldly show what makes them unique.
The statue in the violet glade seems to be smiling and looks at the gnomes in a friendly manner. The small rays of sunlight in her eyes flash mysteriously. Rosa Periwinkle now knows for sure: openness makes you strong. Because if you are brave and stand up for yourself, you will find friends who like you for who you really are.
What do we learn from this?
Anyone can be courageous and open. It's worth daring to be who you are. Openness makes you strong, because friendships grow when everyone is allowed to be honest about who they are. This makes Neflental even more colourful, cheerful and magical.
