How the U.S. public views key immigration policies

Immigration is a big issue under the Trump administration. It has been a particular focus in recent days as the entire political spectrum has been outraged over the separation of children from their parents and the conditions in which they are detained after illegally crossing the Mexican border. While public opinion on this issue pretty clear has a new Survey Gallup has shed new light on what people in the US think about some other important immigration policies or proposals.

Of the four proposals selected for the survey, there was the most support for the so-called "Dreamers" - immigrants who were born as children in the USA. illegal were brought to the USA, but are given the opportunity to become US citizens if they fulfil certain requirements over a certain period of time.
