As Apple has always prided itself on its love of music, the company is reportedly planning to further expand its range of audio products in the future. One Bloomberg article according to a report citing "people familiar with the matter", the Cupertino-based company is planning to release a high-end version of the popular AirPods, another HomePod and its first pair of Apple-branded over-ear headphones as early as next year. Considering the fact that Apple's main source of revenue, the iPhone business, is no longer growing as fast as it used to and the segments Mac and iPad have cooled down recently, it makes sense for Apple sense to create another mainstay. Starting with the iPod in the early 2000s, Apple has a history of very successful audio products and its headphones, both Apple's AirPods and Beats headphones, are a hit with customers. As the chart below shows, the "Other Products" segment, which includes all of Apple's audio products along with Apple TV, Apple Watch and other accessories, generated revenue of nearly $10 billion in the first half of the current fiscal year, up from $4.4 billion three years ago.
