When US President Donald Trump spoke to CIA employees about being featured on the cover of Time magazine, he once said: "I think we have the record in the history of Time magazine." In reality, Trump has already been on the cover of the magazine 21 times, quickly catching up with his predecessor in office. This year alone, he has made it onto four covers - three in a row in June and July.
There are quite a few US presidents who come up more often than Trump, if you take a minute and look at the Time Cover Store search. As the random selection of presidents in the infographic below shows, former President Richard Nixon made it onto the Time cover 43 times. Obama was given 23 covers.
