Why your forms on your website should also use a double opt-in

Without control, forms on your website can become an expensive game - GDPR also affects your forms!

What we have long known and used for sending newsletters is now also missing for our forms since the new legal requirements on data protection.

When we send an e-mail, we must ensure that it is really the interested party in question and that they have expressly consented to receiving e-mails from us.

Confirming a callback, registering for an event or transmitting data?

You should note the following things for GDPR-compliant contact via form:

  • The e-mail address is genuine due to double opt-in
  • The customer has given his consent personally
  • You only record the authorised data
