Never-ending process?

This time I would like to answer this question with a few counter-questions:

  • Why do you have your shop cleaned regularly? Possible answer: So that it stays clean and customers don't get disgusted when shopping.
  • Why are products / product groups changed over more or less regularly in a shop? Possible answer: Because the prioritisation of consumers has changed.
  • Why do customers prefer to shop in shop A, which sells products XYZ, rather than in shop B, which sells exactly the same products? Possible answer(s): Because there are nicer waiters or because the service is better in shop A or because the location of shop A is better. There are many possible answers.
  • Why do supermarkets, for example, create a new offer sheet every week? Possible answer: So that they remain interesting for customers.

SEO is marketing

SEO ist Bestandteil des Marketings. Normalerweise müsste ich sagen, des „Internet-Marketing“. Aber ich denke, dass man heutzutage nicht mehr zwischen klassischem Marketing und Internet-Marketing unterscheiden sollte. „Klassisches Marketing“ und „Internet-Marketing“ sind eins, bilden ein Ganzes in der Summe.

Marketing was and always has been a process. Ein Prozess, in dem Menschen durch „Trial-and-Error“ lernen. Keiner von uns hat eine Glaskugel. Man weiß vorher nicht, ob die Maßnahme erfolgreich wird oder nicht. Man hat Erfahrungswerte zur Hand, anhand derer man sagen kann, dass ein Ergebnis mit einer bestimmten Wahrscheinlichkeit eintritt oder nicht. Aber sicher wissen Sie das NIE.

Well, if electric bikes were suddenly being sold for one euro today, there would probably be a 100 % chance that many customers would buy them. But that wouldn't be the point. Quantity cannot be the goal. In the case of the electric bike example, that would be ruinous for the supplier.

One thing is important: SEO is a process. In this process, you learn through strategic trial and error. Furthermore, search engines change their search algorithms more or less regularly, which can mean that certain SEO measures simply stop working from one day to the next. Even if you have achieved a good market position through SEO, this does not mean that you can stop doing it.

At the latest when the search engines change the algorithms again, this will probably change your position. So: always stay on the ball, do SEO. It will have a positive impact on your company's success in the long term.
